This policy explains what Citation Guild collects, why we collect it, and who we share it with when you buy or ask about an AI visibility audit.
What we collect
- Contact and business details you submit: name, email, business name, website, city, and the services you want audited.
- Payment information processed by Stripe. We receive a payment confirmation and limited billing details, but we do not store your full card number.
- Communications you send us by email, including intake notes and follow-up questions.
- Basic technical data from our hosting provider, such as requests to the site. The site does not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics.
How we use it
We use your information to deliver the audit or report, respond to questions, manage subscriptions and receipts, improve our research, and comply with legal obligations.
AI research
To produce an audit, we submit buyer-style questions to AI answer services, including Google AI Overview, OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI, and Gemma. Those queries may include your business name, city, and service category. Do not send us sensitive personal information, financial account numbers, health records, or information you are not authorized to share. AI providers process queries under their own terms and privacy policies.
Who we share with
We share information only with service providers that help us operate: Stripe for payments, Zoho for email, Vercel for hosting, and the AI providers used to run the research. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.
Cookies
This site is static and does not set advertising cookies. Stripe’s checkout pages may set cookies on Stripe’s domain to process payments and prevent fraud.
Retention
We keep audit records for up to 12 months so we can answer follow-up questions and re-test results. You can ask us to delete your contact and business information sooner, subject to records we must keep for tax, accounting, or legal reasons.
Your choices
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing hello@citationguild.com. You can also ask us to stop non-essential communications.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Our services are for businesses and are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If we make a material change to this policy, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify active clients by email.
